RAGE 2009 AT STARLING BACKPACKERS

2009 Rage will be the best yet and will be the 5th RAGE that Starling Village Backpackers will have the privilege of hosting.

Starling coined the term 'SAFE RAGE' where the accent is on great times with inbuilt safety. Our shuttles, supplied by the best local wheels operator at R15-00 per person per trip, are all driven by PDP licensed drivers and are regularly tested. We transport our guests on a 24 hr basis to town, beaches, pubs and clubs. ARRIVE ALIVE.DRINK and let us drive

Our doctor is on standby 24/7 during this time for any eventuality.

Adult supervision and extra security patrol the premises and are visible around the clock to make sure all our guests are safe and their privacy maintained.

All Students at Starling receive an ID CARD with photos, next of kin contact details, doctors num, blood type, allergies, ID number and all emergency numbers. The ID cards give student's entry into Starling Village Backpackers and can be checked at anytime.

As a Starling guest, all students receive from us, and must produce on demand, a Photo ID card containing all pertinent emergency info. Should some friends come to visit, they must first report at the reception and will only be allowed in the recreational area till 10pm.

Private liquor is not allowed on the premises as it is against the law and completely demolishes safety standards. Our bar area is a focal fun point and boasts karaoke, a bon fire, pool table, dart board, table soccer and table tennis. Plenty of games and surprising give aways. All major sports events are shown live in the bar and common area.

The amazing pool area hosts great sunsets, a cocktail bar, volley ball court, hammocks chairs and great lounging lawns.

Food is always a big deal during the RAGE as students do not like to cook for themselves. At Starling Village Backpackers we sell Pizza, chicken and beef burgers, hotdogs, breakfast rolls and braaipacks. Junk food, HOME COOKED, at its best!

School leavers should have the space to party and take home memories far greater than 'how many beers were consumed'. Plettenberg bay boasts some of the greatest beaches, clubs and activities in the world. Skydive from 10 000ft. or attempt the Highest Bungy. Whale watching, sea kayaking, Monkey land, birds of eden, mountain Bike in our exquisite forests, hikes, paintball, game drives, elephant rides are but some of the dazzling pastimes. All this can be booked through us.

To allow for all to enjoy and celebrate the closure of High School and make space, The Plett Rage gets split in two weeks. Arriving 27 Nov-Departing 4 Dec and Arriving 4 Dec-Departing 11 Dec a full week must be booked. Starling Village Backpackers will exclusively only sleep 80 students in rooms and dorms, so book now to avoid disappointment. • Camping with own tent and no electrical points at R80 per person per night


• Back dorm 2 sleeps 6 guests with bunk beds and shared ablutions and kitchen facilities at R900 per dorm per night.


• Back dorm 3 sleeps 10 guests with bunk beds and shared ablutions and kitchen facilities at R1500 per dorm per night.


• Front dorm sleeps 8 guests with bunk beds and shared bathroom and kitchen facilities at R1200 per dorm per night.


• Top dorm is an en-suite and sleeps 18 guests with bunk beds and shared kitchen facilities at R2700 per dorm per night.


• Red door sleeps 2 guests with twin beds and is an en-suite with shared kitchen facilities at R400 per room per night.


• Yellow door sleeps 2 guests with twin beds and is an en-suite with shared kitchen facilities at R400 per room per night.


• Turquoise door sleeps 2 guests with twin beds and is an en-suite with shared kitchen facilities at R400 per room per night.


• Navy door quad sleeps 4 guests with 2 single beds and 1 bunk bed with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities at R650 per room per night.
